MOOD MOBILE APP

“Create a platform that provides a service for an important & overlooked problem in society.”

In response to the brief, I created an app targeted at the younger demographic (9-14), with the premise being to provide a service which helps instil positive and healthy mental habits early on in life.

On average, children are now getting phones as early as 10. This is around the same time as their transition into secondary school. Many find this to be a pretty confusing and stressful stage of life, that sometimes ends up manifesting into mental health struggles later on in life if the right support isn’t provided.

  • With the target demographic being a younger audience and the subject matter being pretty deep, it was important to keep things vibrant and friendly. The shape-orientated visual identity aims to represent the meditative and healing attributes linked to stones while providing a soft and calming visual anchor.

    The Mood logo features a happy face to portray positive energy and also works as an iconographic system to represent emotions. I also decided on making everything centrally aligned, linking it to the idea of balance, self-alignment and all things spiritual.
